Today, an HPC activity was conducted in Class 8 on the topic Surface Area and Volume. Students used 3-D models of a cube, cuboid, and cylinder to observe their shapes and dimensions. They measured the length, breadth, height, and radius using a scale and calculated the total surface area, curved surface area (where applicable), and volume of each solid using standard formulas. Through this hands-on activity, students were able to relate formulas with real objects and understand the practical application of surface area and volume in daily life. The activity enhanced their conceptual understanding and active participation.
